Character Set up
First of all, in this project I can choose for two different type of my character. One is realistic and the other is stylized. In order to make a decision of my character, I did some research for those two different type characters.http://www.pixar.com/
Between realistic and cartoon
Pp streamBackground of Character
About my character, I set up the character is a boy, and he is a student in the college. His personality is very out going, like to make friends and attending school events as much as he can.
Basic information: Jonson 175 cm 25 years old

Model in Maya

Clothes, Pants and Shoes Design
Because this character is a college student, I give him a simple T-shirt and jeans. In order to represent the character personality, the bright and high intensity colors such as, yellow, red, blue and green will be my basic options.
Clothes
Pattern for Clothes

Pants
I set up the material of shoes is leather, so the Timberland shoes will be a good reference.

Right now, I haven’t decided that which rendering style I will go. But, the true is I like both of them. If I know how to use the hair system in the Maya, I may do both of version.
Eyes
I prefer my character eyes looks like the sample below, but the color of pupil is dark brown.
Skin
The skin I will try to go for Pixar style. It means the skin looks not realistic, so the views know this is CG model. In order to make the skin not looks like plastic, I will use the layered texture to make the skin has different value and colors. Below is my reference.
